Solid VG+, pressing dimple and a few light marks. Nice jacket with very little wear, includes insert page with small rip on the top.
Lil' Son Jackson was an American blues singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He was born Melvin Jackson in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1923. He began playing guitar as a child and was influenced by blues musicians such as Son House, Charley Patton, and Robert Johnson.
Jackson moved to Chicago in the early 1940s and began playing in blues clubs around the city. He recorded his first single, "Catfish Blues," in 1950. He continued to record throughout the 1950s and 1960s, releasing albums for labels such as Regal, King, and Jewel.
Jackson's music was characterized by its raw and emotional vocals, his driving guitar playing, and his deep understanding of the blues tradition. He was a popular performer in the blues clubs of Chicago and made several appearances at blues festivals around the world.
Jackson died in Chicago in 1988. He is considered to be one of the most important blues musicians of the post-war era. His music continues to influence blues musicians today.
