Description
This is a 12” x 78rpm limited edition recording by the legendary Ellen Beach Yaw, performing Ophelia’s “Mad Scene” from the opera Hamlet. It appears to have been numbered and signed in ink by the artist on side 1. Side 2 concludes the performance but the label is neither signed nor numbered. A scarce and well-preserved disc that grades E / E- with small and faint scuffs on both sides and negligible wear on side 2.
This and similar records in my Other Listings came from the same source. They were barely used and quite well-preserved, and have been visually graded using the standard VJM scale. NOTE, however, my scanner did not accurately capture the shade of deep red on many of these labels. Use the Contact Seller feature if you have questions.
Make payment directly to eBay and include $7.50 for Media Rate postage to USA addresses only; no international shipping on this item. Records will be placed in green sleeves taken from old album books and carefully packed in a sturdy (and reusable) box, and are returnable only if photo(s) and/or description(s) is/are materially incomplete or inaccurate. To the extent practical, multiple winnings will be combined (up to seven discs per box) to reduce postage costs... so if you make two or more winning bids, wait for my invoice before sending payment.
