Amy Winehouse

Inspiration
This Amy Winehouse was based on the video for 'Tears Dry On Their Own' where she is wearing a grey dress, black belt and white ballet shoes. She has her trademark bouffant hair and tattoos.

Specifications
Amy is 12 inches tall, or around 32 centimeters to the top of her head. She has wire in her arms and legs so she is slightly posable.
She is not self-supporting and cannot stand up by herself.

Amy will come in a box with a signed, numbered Limited Edition Certificate - Number 1 of 1.

Amy is completely handmade and there is only one of her, but I could make more.
 
Processes
I fist knitted the body and arms with double knit acrylic yarn, then created a single wire frame which means that she can hold different poses with her arms and legs. I padded her out with polyester stuffing and knitted her dress, shoes and belt.
I embroidered her face, adding extra eyeliner on a cat-eye shape and gave her a silver stud ring above her lip. I also embroidered her tattoos after researching images.
Her hair is made of black mohair, which has a bit of extra fluffiness and body. I tried to make her beehive as tall as gravity would allow & it stays up very well on it's own.
There is around 9 hours work in the making of Amy from start to finish.
