This is a pair of Linc Jefferies & the Missing Links 78 rpm acetates

The original single was released on Key Records in April of 1959
There are some researchers that believe that the Missing Links are actually Vernon and Link Wray.

“Is this Link Wray? ARLD places this Key label at 8213 Roanoke Avenue, TakomaPark, Maryland (an outer suburb of Washington?) and suggests it may have been aLillian Claiborne venture. Verna Music (ASCAP) was based at 1129 VermontAvenue, Washington DC and was almost certainly part of Claiborne's littleempire there. The Wray brothers' Rumble label was also at the Vermont Avenueaddress a couple of years later.”
As for these acetates they are the way I found them. The labels have come off but they were in the sleeves and the label pattern matches the pattern on the record itself.
Idon’t see any major scratching or gouges.
I have not been able to play these as I have been unable to find a professional quality 78 turntable. Please look at the pictures to ascertain actual condition.
As you can see someone has marked on the b-sides with crayon, and actually on the surface. I have left them as is for a professional to clean and restore.
The b-sides look like they might contain audio tracks too.
That’sabout all I know. This was part of a 50’s to current Rockabilly collection.This is the only records I was able to obtain. The rest were all CDs.
These records are sold as is based on the information listed above. I will answer any questions but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to provide any additional information.
Obviously any connection to Link and Vernon Wray is conjecture. Maybe there’s something on these acetates that could change that.
I do have one favor to ask of the winning bidder. Once you do get these run and converted to digital I’d like a copy.
