THANKS FOR LOOKING!
I'm just selling off a few sealed duplicates and others from my small personal collection. This is a NEW, factory sealed original!
PLEASE NOTE 2ND PHOTO WHEREIN YOU'LL SEE A SMALL TEAR IN THE OUTER PROTECTIVE SLEEVE & VERY SLIGHT CORNER BUMP TO THE COVER. EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT THE COVER IS FLAWLESS....
For forty years, the award-winning natural sound of Sheffield Lab has been recognized throughout the world as the reference standard for musical and sonic excellence. Sheffield is the label that single-handedly brought audiophile recordings to high profile status with the astonishingly realistic quality of its direct-to-disc recordings. With the highest audio standard for its CDs and downloads, Sheffield's tradition of non-compromise audio continues in the digital era with stunningly beautiful sound, across its diverse catalog of pop, jazz, and classical music.
33rpm LP Record of LINCOLN MAYORGA & DISTINGUISHED COLLEAGUES Volume III, recorded live from the studio directly to the master disc. It was issued by Sheffield Records (Sheffield Lab) in 1973 and is part of the Stereophonic Laboratory Series. The colleagues include: Mike Deasy; Mike Anthony; Al Casey; Joanne Grauer; Victor Feldman; Gary Coleman; Jim Keltner; Malcolm McNab, and more, all of whom were among the most coveted artists in commercial recording at that time. Serial No: LAB-1 (SL5/SL6)
LAB 1 marks Sheffield's third adventure in direct to disc recording. The purpose of recording in this live and direct method is to obtain the sonic merits of the pure disc medium as opposed to the characteristics of tape. In making a direct to disc recording, there is an optimum point, a plateau where the mixing, performance and feel, all happen at once, and you have a record.
