Description
What other surprises are there to be found among the remnants of my life in the music industry? I would suggest you check in daily to discover truly rare and unusual albums mostly from the 1970’s. This I believe is a perfect example of what I would call a Surprise. From 1973 we have a lightly played copy of Richard Brautigan’s, Harvest Records release “Listening To Richard Brautigan” catalog # 424. I’m sure that back in the day it was sent to me as a sample, preview copy, as it has the hole punch of a promotional disc. Did I in fact preview it, I doubt it. Do I remember it, no I don’t. Did it come into my possession through my employment at Capitol Records? This time I will say yes, because it has the unmistakable, Capitol Records, jacket hole punch of promotion. Did someone listen to it, I’m sure they did but I have trouble remembering the seventies. Disc has a high gloss surface, perfect labels and its original plain white inner paper sleeve as the alignment of the punch hole is exacting. If I were a grader, and I’m not, I would give the jacket a nine out of ten, as it has less wrinkles then any forty years old on this planet. Please review all pictures before considering a bid. Selections: The Telephone Door To Richard Brautigan, Trout Fishing In America, Love Poem (Readers: Alan Stone - Antonio - Betty Kirkdall - Bob Prescott - Bruce Conner - Cynthia Harwood - David Schaff - Don Allen - Herb Caen -Ianthe Brautigan - Imogen Cunningham - Margot Patterson Doss - Michael McClure - Michaela Blake-Grand - Peter Berg, Prince Dunn and Valerie Estes), A Confederate General From Big Sur, Here Are The Sounds Of My Life In San Francisco, The Pill Versus The Springhill Mine Disaster, Revenge Of The Lawn, The Telephone Door That Leads Eventually To Some Love Poems, In Watermelon Sugar, Here Are Some More Sounds Of My Life, Short Stories About California and Boo, Forever.
