Description

Rare 1964 RCA sample 45 rpm 7 inch single in excellent condition. Shiny surfaces with only a couple of hairlike paper marks. Plays clean and loud without surface noise.  The letter Y written on side 2 otherwise label is very clean and only light spindle mark on side 2  (See photo's)                   A different lineup of the Offbeats was put together when Ray relocated to Perth and recorded for the WA Clarion label released through Festival, making this recording a rare insight into his early raw rock 'n' roll style with a strong R&B base.  Of the four tracks recorded for RCA these were the only two released.

Side 1. A great cover of Chuck Berry's Little Queenie.  Side 2 Jimmy Reed's What You Want Me To Do shows off Ray's R&B side.  For the true fan of Ray Hoff And The Offbeats this record should be an essential part of your collection.
