Description
Up for auction is a "Living Stereo" Classical LP of Offenbach Gaite Parisienne, Meyerbeer Les Patineurs played by the Boston Pops Orchestra conducted by Arthur Fiedler on RCA Victor Label LSC - 1817. This album which was originally recorded in 1953 and 1954 is a favorite among those who have a high end system. Take from the liners: It was recorded on High Fidelity recorders at a tape speed of 30 inches per second to ensure the maximum fidelity. Then for this edition the music, as it was originally recorded, was then produced as a dual track stereo disc by transferring, under controlled conditions, to insure correct stereophonic balance, maximum spatial effect and ideal frequency range and dynamic contrast. It has the shaded area around the dog and the numbers in the dead wax are J2 RY1454 - 5S then A1. Condition of the cover is VG+ to NM with almost no wear whatsoever. The only flaw I see is slight dicoloration in the white area on the left hand side. The vinyl itself is VG+ with only one or two light marks that do not affect play at all.
