VG+ CONDITION

Very rare Rockabilly original from my 50 year collection. Three removable stickers on label. Also known as Cowboy Copas, he died in the tragic March 5, 1963 plane crash with Patsy Cline and Hackshaw Hawkins.

I have over 30,000 records from the '50s and early '60s. Most are VG to Near Mint Rockabilly, Doo-Wop and Top 100. I have many extra copies. All have been in paper sleeves and/or plastic covers and in climate-controlled storage for more than 30 years. Many are in their original sleeves and have never been played. I'm at a stage of life that I'm ready to begin parting with them, so my loss will be your gain.

I love to think of these treasured records going to all parts of the world to be enjoyed and then passed along to another generation. I'm very proud to have accumulated this wonderful collection. I greatly appreciate the contributions made by the pioneers of Rock & Roll, some of whom I've had the honor to meet. Although fame and fortune eluded many of the artists of the '50s, their music and influence live on. It is with great pleasure that I offer these memories to music lovers everywhere. 

My grading is visual and tends to be on the conservative side. I visually grade the vinyl and describe label defects, if any. I don't clean records prior to shipping, although most don't need it. If it has a sticker I do not remove it, but I usually say if I think it is removable. Most stickers will come off without damaging the label, if you have the necessary patience.

- Shipping/Handling -

USA: 1 to 5 records = flat $3.90. More than 5 add 10 cents each.

Canada: 1 to 3 records = flat $4.90. More than 3 add 50 cents each.

International: 1 record = $7.90. Each additional record add 75 cents each. Insurance recommended!

These are great old and valuable records, so we package them carefully and securely. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. We carefully examine each record before shipping, but I encourage you to purchase insurance. Although we stamp every package "Fragile" and "Do Not Bend", we can't be held responsible if someone along the way decides to use your box for soccer practice. Or worse, it never arrives. Please wait for our invoice before paying. We do not ship to Brazil.

- Our Grading System -

Mint: I seldom grade a record Mint. To be considered Mint it has likely never been played and with only hard to see scuffs from being removed from the sleeve a couple of times. Label looks perfect. Mint records more than thirty years old are extremely rare. When a record is truly Mint it deserves, and receives, a large premium over other grades.  
 
Near Mint: Usually the highest grade. Records from the 1950s & '60s in this condition are very rare. Vinyl looks almost new except for a feather scuff or two from being removed from its sleeve. Label should look nearly new. A record that has never been played or handled, and would normally be considered new, can still be Near Mint simply because it's been moved a few times, or has been stored for 50 years. Sometimes referred to as M-.      
 
VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus): Beautiful collectible condition. Only the slightest of wear, light scuffs, no deep scratches. Very collectible.

VG+ (Very Good Plus): Very nice condition and better than you would expect from a record that's been played several times. The owner took good care of it and stored it in a sleeve or record case. Some scuffs and/or scratches but sounds good and does not skip. A VG+ and VG++ record is still quite collectible and above the norm for its age. This could even be a Near Mint record with a slight warp.
 
VG (Very Good): In good condition for its age, but more wear than VG+. Probably not always kept in a sleeve. Still makes for good listening and still collectible. 
 
VG- (Very Good Minus): Generally not collectible condition unless it’s a very rare record. This is what you would expect of a record owned by a party-going teenager in the '50s and '60s. Probably hasn't seen a sleeve since the day it was purchased. Maybe kept in a record carrying case. No skips. Okay for listening, especially if you like scratches and pops, but most dealers avoid records in this shape or below.
 
G (Good): Lots of surface wear but still playable. The most confusing grade because "good" really does not mean good. It is actually in quite poor condition. Probably spent its life sleeveless and stacked with other records. May or may not skip. Not collectible. 
 
P (Poor): May be cracked and probably skips. Pretty much a wall hanger unless it's very rare. Also good for target practice and makes a great Frisbee.
