This is my much sought after Oriental Jazz LP by produced East-West Records partly recorded in Paris by Jef Gilson’s Kiosque de Orphie in 1960 and in Utah in the mid-1960s. Only 500 were pressed. I am Oriental Jazz originator Dr. Lloyd Miller and am still performing weekly in various locations and I will autograph the LP or jacket if you wish. The record is in perfect condition.

By winning the bid on 21 DVDs and CDs of my best works including the Oriental Jazz DVD of my original BYU, U of U and Tehran NIRT video tapings, you will receive a copy of the Oriental Jazz vinyl LP and also my 1968 Impressions of Afghanistan vinyl LP for free. You are bidding on the DVDs and CDs at $12 each totaling $250 and you get the 2 vinyls worth at least $250 are absolutely free! From time to time I locate these old LPs and can share with you; why not share them while I am still alive?

Cool item for Lloyd Miller music collectors or those who like exceptional jazz and Eastern music.

Originally dubbed the innovator of the Oriental Jazz concept which was discovered by UK DJ Gilles Peterson: I first went to Iran in 1957 and again in 1969 for an extended stay of seven years beginning with a Fulbright scholarship. This intensive research resulted in the publication of my PhD dissertation Music and Song in Persia by Rutledge Curzon in 1999 and Afghan Music and Dance by Eastern Arts in 1976 and 2011. I have a few of these books with accompanying DVDs and CDs available.

After spending many years in Europe during the late 1950s and early 1960s where I performed with Peter Trunk, Albert Mangelsdorf, and influenced Don Ellis, played with Eddie Harris in Germany, Lennart Jansson, Lars Färnlöf, Bernt Rosengren in Sweden, I was  soloist with Jef Gilson (featured on Gilson's first 10" LP), worked with  Freddie Deronde and Jaques Pelzer in Belgium and now I am still playing authentic New Orleans and cool Jazz as well as Persian, Afghan and Turkish music.

I will ship worldwide. Add $15.00 shipping within USA and $40.00 for international.
