Description
The artist asked me to destroy this but it’s too cool to ruin. If he had made an entire LP with this sound it would be in the acid archives. Also makes me think of something an artsy horror director would use.
Vinyl really doesn’t show wear but has dimples, or thumps, so it does play with a little crackle here and there. No skips, plays through fine, but I’ll call it VG just to make sure there’s no misunderstanding. Make sure you listen via the link below

Probably one of the only copies around… I called the artist on the phone and he was shocked I had a copy, he asked where I got it, because only a few had been sold on the street corner and a copy or two given to local radio stations. It had been a local hit and received airtime around Christmas for a few years, which he was proud of.
I explained that there wasn’t many people making music like this, much less black men like himself, which he laughed and agreed. However, I mentioned wanting to put it on YouTube and he said it would piss him off, as he now hated the song. He had paid Irving Berlins foundation for the rights, and when he tried to profit off of play, wasn’t able to, because it was Irving Berlins song. That ruined the entire thing for him and the 600 copies he had weren’t saved because of it.
I know there’s someone who will appreciate this early lofi piece from an African American gentleman. Just make sure you don’t put it on YouTube 😅
