Description

About This Record.  This is a really cool DJ promo copy (see 5th photo of stamp on back cover) of Lonnie Johnson's LP entitled Blues by Lonnie Johnson that came out on Bluesville Prestige Records 1007 way back when.  This is as close to a keeper copy as there is for most anyone, but I doubt there are any truely NM keeper copies as I've never seen another copy of this record on the original label (see my other Lonnie Johnson LPs for sale).  See details below and zoom in on photos.  I just found yet another $$$$ Velvet Underground 45rpm on eBay that I've been looking for . . . and now I must pay for it!  I will be selling other vinyl ending on the same day that I will be listing over the next few days.  Keep your eyes out!

Vinyl Condition.  Vinyl looks VG+ with some noticeable but light paper marks and light stylus marks.  Plays EX mainly to my ears, so I'll say EX-.  Bright and shiney and a survivor..

Cover Condition.  VG+.  3 of the 4 corners show 1/8" corner wear rubs on the spine, and while the Spine and seams are intact, the bottom seam is about to split one inch in the middle.  Still very nice..  Not so far from EX

Innsersleeve.  This comes with original (I think) plain paper innersleeve but also comes cleaned on my VPI record cleaning machine in a rice paper or similar vinyl-protector sleeve.

Labels.  EX+ to Near Mint minus deep groove original USA Bluesville 1007 labels (similar design to the Folkways labels but it/they say Bluesville). Just a few light spindle marks on the labels.  Really TOUGH to find a DJ copy or any copy without price stickers or writing on these ultimately cool labels!

About Me.  I have been a Record Collector for over 35 years.  I have stored every record I have purchased over the last 35 years properly.  This LP I bought many years ago during my travels and have kept it well-preserved.  This comes cleaned on my VPI record cleaning machine.
