‘Look At All The Children Now’ NYHC Comp LP numbered test pressing on Evacuate Records, with a hand silkscreened cover & a note on the back that has the full track listing. Mint condition unplayed copy. Included is the multi-page booklet (with an essay on the back cover by Sam McPheeters from Born Against) that came with the other versions of the record.
Way cool compilation that featured a bunch of the bands that were the foundation of the ABC-NO-RIO hardcore matinee scene on the Lower East Side of New York City in the late 80’s/early 90’s. A sort of geek backlash to the violence & posturing the CBGB matinees had devolved into.
I believe this was the first vinyl appearances for many of these bands, including Rorschach and Citizens Arrest - cXa I’m pretty sure were sent down from above (or up from below?) to teach us puny mortals a thing or two about what gut wrenching shows & crushing music should look & sound like. But I digress. Also the first (and for a long time only) appearance of Moondog - who, as some of you know was Walter’s band after Gorilla Biscuits, which then transitioned into the quite popular Quicksand. Musical history is cool, huh?
Ignore spots on the record - there’s all kinds of static electricity around here and it’s just dust.
