Description
You are viewing the original pressing of Lord Shaifyq’s “My Mic Is On Fire” 12”. This classic and rare hip hop 12” was recorded by Shafiyq in 1987 and later included on Ego Trip’s great Big Playback comp. It’s a great record and additionally features some of the first uses of 5 Percent terminology in hip hop. This copy has the “CSB” etching in the runout groove, indicating that it’s the original and not a reissue.
The vinyl is VG++, there are several very light marks on each side but nothing serious and the record itself plays great. The generic green 12” sleeve is VG+, with some light creases and general signs of storage wear. Additionally this copy is SIGNED by Lord Shafiyq himself on the label, which reads "To a Kool Kat "Alvin"" with a signature written in Arabic script, and also includes a promo one-sheet which declares "The Lord Shafiyq Is Soo Kool That He's Hot" and provides the request line numbers for Kiss FM and WBLS.
