Loretta Lynn Coal Miner's Daughter. This is the first official reissue in over 30 years, remastered from the original tapes by Ryan Smith, Sterling Sound and produced on heavyweight marbled blue vinyl exclusively for Vinyl Me Please.

From the jacket; "Coal Miner's Daughter" is arguably the the defining country single, a song that in its story of a girl raised in Butcher Holler by a man who risked black lung to provide for his family, makes the case for the artistry, storytelling and the importance of country music.

There aren't many songs that spoke to people who lived with dirt floors and worked with their hands, but Loretta Lynn wrote their anthems across Coal Miner's Daughter, her 15th LP and one that doesn't get enough credit for helping start the outlaw country movement of the 70s. An essential title regardless of genre, Lynn's songs of the small people trying to eke out an existence at the fringes remains a gold standard for country music."
