Comments: His 4th 45 was his first using the name for which he became well-known, J.J. Cale. It was also the first of three on Liberty. As you can see it was arranged and co-produced by fellow Oklahomian Leon Russell, for whose label “Shelter” he would later turn out his most prolific output in the early/mid 1970’s. A-side is chugging up-tempo tune about the hero of Precinct 2. B-side is a shade slower, leaning more on the back-beat, turning it into danceable track.
