Los Shakers, known as the “South American Beatles”, was a band that formed in early 1964, in Uruguay, after the initial Worldwide phase of Beatlemania had swept over the globe. They were huge during the entire time together as a group until breaking up in 1969. Being popular in all of South America they were the absolute top act in Argentina for many years.
Their influence was the Beatles and only the Beatles. Their haircuts, clothes and music styles mirrored John, Paul, George & Ringo right up until the breakup of the band.
Offered here is one of their earliest singles from Uruguay. The overall condition is played. There is background noise yes but it does play through and can still be enjoyable. The unmistakable early Beatle sound is heavily present.
