Offered for Sale is a Lou Christie Sacco "PAINT AMERICA LOVE" lp.
The critics call this album a lush incredible journey. The complex mixture of Americana and pop come very close to approximating the feel of the Beach Boys early masterpieces "Surf's Up" and "Sunflower".
Without abandoning his falsetto style, he gives us some of his best material on this conceptual album which is VERY DIFFICULT to listen out of sequence. It's almost as if he wanted one very long song cut up into individual tracks. "Paint America Love" is Lou Christie's "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band" album.
This is the ORIGINAL 1971 SEALED Buddah GATEFOLD lp # BDS 5073.
NOTE: I was a buyer for two different record chains in Hollywood, Ca. As such, I received a couple of boxes of records a week, to entice me to buy. More often than not, they were always open copies, and if you wanted to sell them to a used record store you could only get about a $1.00 cash, or $2.00 in trade for them. This however is one of the SEALED ones.
Never the less, after 35 to 45 years of shifting around in boxes, wear does occur, so PLEASE check the photos for a clear picture of what you will be receiving. I do not rate covers, only the vinyl itself. Also, if the record is open, there may be minor scuffing marks, from the inner sleeve. This IN NO WAY affects the sound, or I would not list it. There is also the possibility that the inner sleeve could have a slit on one or more of its sides.
