Description
Blue Note BLP 5030, 767 Lexington Ave. address on both labels, deep groove, original 10"L.P. Clifford Brown, trumpet; Lou Donaldson, alto sax; Elmo Hope, piano; Percy Heath, bass, "Philly" Joe Jones, drums. Very rare.
Cover: VG 1" bottom edge split a at the insert edge. Light record ring on the front cover. Light aging on the back cover with some soil from handling on the front and back cover. A few scuff marks on the front cover.
Record: VG+ or Better Visually shows only minor wear. 5 or 6 very light surface rub marks. A slight irregularlty in the perimeter of the record results in some very light distortion on Track 1, Side 1. there are a few clicks and a few , short, light crackles on Side 1. the same surface distortion occurs at the beginning of Track 1, Side 2 and gradually becomes less audible as the tracking continues. The balance of the tracks on both sides show no effect fro the record shape and there is no surface noise other than a few, very light clicks on Track 3, Side 2. I have describe the condition in detail but, in fact, the distortion is not a big factor, though audible. Moderately heavy pressing. Audibly checked.
