Description
Here it is, the original 1975 (Indianapolis) pressing of Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music. I don't have to tell you that original copies like this have gotten very hard to find! If you've been holding out for an excellent copy for your collection, look no further because this is the one for you.
Please examine the photos--it's hard to accurately get decent photos of vinyl this good, and some times the lights reflect strangely and look like spots or marks that really aren't there!
THE VINYL: Vinyl is super clean with no marks (other than side A, which is the only side to have a couple that do not affect play whatsoever). The edges of both discs are sharp and you can tell that this album didn't see much use or handling. I have a mid-level system, and there is a little minor surface noise at the outer edges, but the vinyl sounds and plays GREAT. I'm not a dealer but I've bought tons of records over the years, and I'd say this is very safely in the category of VG+ vinyl.
In the interest of full disclosure, I went ahead and cleaned all four sides with my vacuum system, and if you turn the records in the light, some very faint spots are visible (hard to photograph, but one photo shows this). They were present before the cleaning, and look like very light water spots. At first, I suspected they were mildew, but utilizing a professional-grade (non-alcohol) enzyme record cleaner did not change them at all. They do not affect play, and are actually pretty difficult to see, but I wanted to point all of this out in advance. As record cleaning varies between collectors, you may have your own method you wish to try, or, you may not, so it's left up to the buyer.

THE JACKET: As you can see in the photos, there is ring-wear on the front and back cover, but no tears or splits at all, and the cover is very solid & intact!
The records are stored in static-free, MOFI-type sleeves, and the album will be sent in a record mailer and packed appropriately!
