Original RCA Victor Records promotional set for the press, radio stations and distributors to promote Lou Reed’s new album “Sally Can’t Dance” released in September, 1974. Promotional factory sealed copy of Lou Reed’s 4th studio album which was fully recorded in the US. It’s considered to be Lou Reed’s most commercially successful solo album. It’s very hard to find a promotional issue of this conceptual album in a factory sealed condition. Unlike the commercial release, the cover of this promotional copy contains a large “NOT FOR SALE PROMOTION USE ONLY” embossed stamp in the lower left-hand corner. The album includes inside a custom black and white “Lou Reed Sally Can’t Dance” inner sleeve containing the same artwork as the cover.
Original promotional incredibly rare vintage 1974 “Lou Reed Sally Can’t Dance His New Album”. Made on the high-quality glossy paper this 18” x 24” poster contains the “8-8404 ® 1974 RCA Records Printed in U.S.A.” credit and “RCA Records and Tapes” banner with the RCA logo.
