Description

An original 1st press of Transformer on the UK RCA label. Matrix 1E/2E. Please note labels are consistent with 1st press and still mention 'Stereo' at the top and are flat [i.e. not ridged at the outer edge which later copies are]. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed by Clout & Baker. Also included is the original RCA inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection we could make out a few superficial marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. We couldn't detect more than a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. It really is a very solid rendition without fault. Enjoy!
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has been looked after down the years. Clean front with a couple of creases - the most notable one is in the top-left corner. The rear is very nice too - we are detecting a slight wave, but it is not a significant problem [i.e. the cover is not totally flat]. Edge wear is reasonably light. The spine is ok, but it has taken one knock toward the top - so don't expect all the text to be legible. Overall the cover still retains very good rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Bit of ageing and a coffee stain down in one corner.
