Description

An original very 1st press of TRANSFORMER on UK RCA. Matrix 1E/1E - 1st cut. Note the labels are consistent with 1st press. Shiny heavy pressed vinyl - 'Stereo' showing at 12 o'clock. The vinyl comes housed in an original C&B cover.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make a few light marks per side - nothing heavy or sinister looking A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with deviation in a couple of spots per side. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A great rendition and mostly clean player. 'Perfect Day' plays pretty clean - just a couple of fleeting minor ticks. WILD SIDE -plays perfectly quiet. The only track which was a bit sub-par was 'Wagon Wheel'. There's a small mark in the track which causes a few crackles and a couple of ticks. Not bad - it just won't play quite as clean as the other tracks. Then 3 clicks midway through 'New York Conversation' and a couple of more as 'Andy's Chest' closes out. Overall - a very respectable standard.
Cover (Vg+) In very decent condition with a few creases and, thankfully, precious little surface wear. Ditto the rear with just some light handling. There is a bit of edge wear in places, but nothing too noticeable. The text on the spine is all legible - but there are a couple of stress creases. Overall the cover retains very good rigidity. Overall - very nice.
