Description

Genuine and very 1st press on UK RCA. Matrix 1E/1E - very 1st cut. Note the labels mention 'Stereo' at 12 o'clock. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover. We also have an original generic company inner from the time too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In excellent condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very slight marks per side nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with minor deviation in a couple of spots. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A really difficult to find playing clean...why? Well, the big hits [that are well known] are also the fussiest and most lowkey. Which tends to mean the tracks Perfect Day and Wild Side rarely play with a quiet background. But this example appears to have been taken care off. A few minor crackles in the quietest moments of 'Perfect Day' - which plays better than you often tend to find. I also detected a few sporadic crackles in the quietest moments of 'Andy's Chest' too. A couple of minor isolated ticks during 'Wild side'. Even 'GoodNight' plays really clean. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex) These original covers are super difficult to find this well preserved. Clean front with almost no signs of handling front and rear [quite unusual]. Minimal edge wear and firm sharp openings. The spine is 99% intact - very unusual. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Quite aged. NO splits.
