Description

Genuine and very 1st press on UK RCA. Matrix 1E/1E - very 1st cut. Note the labels mention 'Stereo' at 12 o'clock. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover. We also have an original generic company inner from the time too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In excellent condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side, one slight/small scuffing patch - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with two slightest deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A really difficult to find playing properly clean...why? Well, the big hits [that are well known] are also the fussiest and most lowkey. Which tends to mean the tracks Perfect Day and Wild Side rarely play with a proper quiet background. But this copy is acing it across the board. Hearing those two tracks in particular playing clean is a total joy. Reed was at the height of his powers, here, and you really need to insist on the best copy you can get hold of. The only slight deviation was a couple of minor ticks in 'Make Up', and a solitary tick in 'Wagon Wheel'. Even 'GoodNight' plays really clean! A cracking copy. Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) Clean front with just minor handling. A little bit more observable on the rear - not bad though. A bit of light edge wear and firm openings. The spine is average with 90% text legible. Just a couple of minor stress creases. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. NO splits.
