Transformer by Lou Reed
From the cat. number I think this is a 1984 re-issue of the classic 1972 album produced and arranged with David Bowie and Mick Ronson.
It has the silver on black RCA Victor International label NL 83806 B
Matrix numbers are 11 II on side 1, and 111 II on side 2.
The vinyl I would say is in "Excellent Plus" condition, and maybe even "Mint -". Visually there are a few very, very slight sleeve removal hairlines if you look really hard. It plays through perfectly with virtually no noise between tracks.
The glossy outer sleeve I would grade as "Very Good", having normal wear and tear, some slight edge wear, and a worn bottom corners.
Why am I selling records?
Due to a planned downsizing of our home I am selling my entire collection of vinyl records over the next few months, so take a look at my other items. I am not a dealer or a professional collector, but I will attempt to grade the items using the UK Record Collector Grading System (click HERE for more). All the records will be carefully cleaned and listened through before grading. If you disagree with my grading or are unhappy with the item you receive, please contact me first, before giving me negative feedback, I will do my best to resolve matters. The majority of my collection has been barn stored and unplayed for the last 25 years, and when in use were played on good equipment (Garrard 125SB deck) and well looked after.
Postage and Packing
Records will be securely packaged and despatched as soon as possible using Royal Mail second class small parcel service with a signature required. Cost is £3.95 for up to 2 Kg. If you buy more than one record then I will package together and refund any excess payment.
UK Record Collector Grading System
Mt = Mint: Never been played or item still sealed. Cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster (ie contents) are in perfect condition.
Mt- = Near Mint: In brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover and contents nearly perfect.
Ex = Excellent: Shows some signs of being played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VG+ = Better than Very Good: Obviously been played but no significant deterioration in sound quality despite light surface marks. Very little wear and tear on cover and contents, without any major defects.
VG = Very Good: Obviously been played many times but no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on cover or contents, without any major defects.
Gd+ = Better than Good: Sound quality has deteriorated but with no distortion. Light scratches and occasional mild scratch. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges but not spine splits or discoloration.
Gd = Good: Sound quality has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion. Mild scratches. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.
Fair: Still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise - it may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor: Will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc. Cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
