Listing as used -- I opened the box set and played it once on an SME TT.  Everything is in MINT state.  Includes the paper outer wrapper and the 200g Classic Records sticker which I placed inside the box set.  Includes 45RPM, 4 disc set (single sided, clear vinyl (clarity SV-P II)), SR 52074-45 is the catalog code. Also incudes some Furutech advertisement flyers.

     Louis Armstrong & Duke Ellington "Recording Together For The First Time" comes as four single sided 200gm 45 RPM pressings. All LPs arrive in heavy poly sleeves with LP A1 in the high quality gatefold cover. The gatefold cover (containing LP A1) and the remaining 3 LPs (in their poly sleeves) are housed in a red box with a sheet of bubble wrap below the 4th LP and above the gatefold cover. The set comes with a Classic Records response card. If you are familiar with Classic Records this is the same one that comes in all of their LPs. There also are a couple of marketing things inside to complete the package. The distinctive red box has a white band horizontally centered around the box with a small adhesive dot on the rear holding the white band in place. The whole package is sealed in shrink wrap and has a couple of stickers affixed identifying the pressing type, etc.  Clarity vinyl pressings are a translucent milky white color. The unpressed side of all four LPs has the Classic Record name etched into the flat surface and other markings letting you know what you have in hand. The labels were centered well on all four LPs and the unpressed sides include a stroboscope type label to assist in checking your turntable's speed if you need such a thing.  All LPs were trimmed well and absolutely flat. The packaging and pressing quality is the best I since MoFi's UHQR series of heavy weight LPs.  The Sonics on this pressing were nothing short of amazing.  This pressing includes all of the qualities a serious audiophile seeks.  The quietness of the Clarity vinyl will be valued by many audiophiles for many years.  I had high hopes for this series and have not been disappointed.

     The genesis of the new formula came as a result of a visit to High End Audio's self proclaimed Vinyl Guru Michael Fremer's Analog Laboratory. Mr. Fremer demonstrated a Furutech LP demagnetizer. After using the demagnetizer, vocals had so much more texture, bass definition and clarity of every nuance of the recording was vastly improved and there was more low level information than we had ever heard in the recording.  Why did the demagnetizer have the sonic effects on a record?  Very simply the carbon black that is added to vinyl for LP manufacture contains trace metals that become randomly magnetized and interfere electrically with the cartridge hanging overhead during play.  So... if carbon black and the trace metals contained therein caused playback distortion in the cartridge then why not take out the carbon black altogether?       Clarity Vinyl represents the ultimate in vinyl formulations because it is comprised of over 90 percent of the highest quality co-polymer available – a key component in vinyl pellets used for manufacturing vinyl records. Further, Clarity Vinyl had no carbon black additive, common in vinyl formulas for LPs. Carbon black contains trace metals that become magnetized and cause "electrical distortions" in cartridges during playback that smears the sound. By taking out the Carbon Black, Classic Records is able to dramatically reduce the "electrical distortions" and thus bring more "Clarity" to the playback process, providing a more realistic musical experience to the listener and LP enthusiast. 45-RPM records have long been recognized as providing a higher fidelity musical experience resulting purely from the cartridge being able to extract more of the nuance from the complex vertical and horizontal groove modulations in stereo LPs. Further, Classic Records 45-RPM single-sided pressings dramatically reduce the mechanical resonances created by the cartridge during playback by allowing these resonances to be more fully transmitted to and absorbed by the turntable platter.
