Description
"Oriental Strut" b/w "You're Next" by Louis Armstrong & His Hot Five. Early Armstrong session recorded February 26, 1926. Featuring Kid Ory, Johnny Dodds, Lil Armstrong, and Johnny St. Cyr. Issued on OKeh Truetone 8299. Condition is a strong V. Light surface noise plus some mild swishing at the beginning of "Oriental Strut" due to what looks like water damage. This is not a laminted pressing. Lightweight shellac with reeded rim. Some light label damage on "Oriental" side. "You're Next" label is clean, but with some light scratches and a little fading on the "h" of "OKeh." A classic from the most legendary sessions in the history of jazz.
