Description
PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
Hideously rare 1st mono pressing label variant with side indicators printed in all capital letters on the left hand side and catalog number on the right. One of psych's Holy Grails. I have been an obsessive collector for over 40 years and this is the only copy of this pressing I have ever seen. LP is VG- visually but plays great with a tiny scuff in the dead wax at the start of side 1 that can be felt and a small (a little over one quarter of an inch) scratch in the middle of The Red Telephone that can be felt. Side 2 has a tiny scuff and a small scratch in the dead wax at the beginning and a scratch at the end on You Set The Scene that can just barely be felt. The rest are inconsequential light surface scratches and paper scuffs. Plays great. Cover is VG- with some fraying on the top left hand corner and a 3 and a half inch split on the side. A stone psych masterpiece, these RARELY come up for auction and are obviously near impossible to find in any condition so don't sleep.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING: MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
