Description
An original 1st press of FC on the UK Elektra label from 1967. Matrix A1/B1. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original mono sleeve from Great Britain. There's a generic white inner sleeve - which looks original - but there are no markings so it's difficult to be 100% sure. We will transport in a Gold-ring anti-static inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Ooh a mono 1st in beautiful condition....crumbs! This copy really has been looked after it really has seen light use - very unusual. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. As anyone who is familiar with this title will know the audio is, for the most part, very delicate. And any copy which has seen even a reasonable amount of use is going to exhibit issues in the audio due to its low-key nature. But this copy...Wow! This really is the way it was meant to be consumed! It's a beautifully clean copy and the audio is nothing short of breathtaking. Even in the very quiet passages a nice quiet background - so that clear audio just pours out the speakers. Interference is very minor and infrequent. All we could detect was the lightest of static in one or two isolated moments. And believe me this is very minor and very brief. By and large this copy is going to smoke anyone else's copy by some margin...
Cover (Ex) Again, this Lp must have had one fastidious owner because this title very rarely surfaces looking anything like this. First thing - beautifully white front and back with barely a whiff of ageing. All I can make out on the front is one tiny thumbnail crease. On the rear, again, one tuny thumbnail creases and a couple very vaguely grubby patches at the top and bottom edge [practically nothing!]. Edge wear is very light for this title and the spine is borderline perfect. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Good luck even equalling this standard.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing and creasing. No splits.
