Description

Original UK black & silver Parlophone/EMI label stereo press LP.

Forms & Feelings was Love Scupture's second LP recorded during 1969 after the success of the 1968 single Sabre Dance. The first November 1969 pressings of the LP were made with the old yellow & black Parlophone labels, but these ceased to be used at the end of 1969 and were replaced with the new black & silver One Box Perlophone/EMI labels when the album was re-released in January 1970, (and then by the two box design in Jauary 1971), but despite the success of the LP, on the following 1970 US tour the band split up. This is the second label variant pressing with the earliest YEX-751-1G YEX-752-1G matrices and 1-A 1-O (3rd and 5th) stampers of the very first issues.
  The Garrod & Lofthouse fully laminated sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner wear, a couple of small laminate creases and some laminate rubbing on the cover. The spine is intact, slightly flattenned and fully readable, the EMI company inner is intact & in EX condition.
  The record is in visually EX condition, with no scratches or nasty marks & only a few faint sleeve removal hairlines and a couple of small needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in VG+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of a few light spindle markings and a name in biro on each side.   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, with some brief low background noise during the run in grooves and a couple of low clicks in a couple of the quieter passages, overall a really great, loud & clear listen!   The matrix nos. are; YEX-751-1G stamper 1-A, YEX-752-1G stamper 1-O. This is one of later 1970 copies of the first pressing of the original UK stereo issue of this classic 1970 album!
