Background: UNISON are an undiscovered rarity coming at YouFrom 1976 The album was reissued On CD, and apparently, is OneofThe most wanted and searched after hard rock albumsFrom that year. It is great down To EARTHFace hard rock with biting fuzz leads over basic very effective riffing. It is A must FOR all 70's hard rock collectors.
The Songs: Essentially it is A concept lpA different aspectof howHISWoman has done him wrong. Sounds corny doesn't it? Especially coming From 1976 where TheToMUSIC , what confinedToThe likesofPINK Floyd or JETHRO TULL . But it's pretty good nonetheless, with tracks like 'Borderline' delivering that seventies chunk fuzz with insane lyrics and 'Cookin' FOR YouYou 'd swearYou wereLISTENINGToThe Marcuslp ( FromTheSame year I might add), whileThe Chug-a-lug guitar antics bring back memoriesof ramjam
In Summary: Dealers give The date OnThelp as 1984, butThe CD indicates 1976 and that fitsTheSound better. The fact there's A strong disincentive FORTo give an eighties date perhaps suggestsA later pressing exists. ( ) In any case, this is pretty much down-to-earth hard rock with southern and blues traits From Aband hailFrom upstate New York. They all had input into each song and other songs and that makes each song unique. Since this album they have all gone their own ways but each continues To play. Guy and Bruce have opened FOR Theof gateouthBROWN , ASLEEP ATThe WHEEL, MUDDY WATERS, ELVIN BISHOP AMONGST OTHER HEADLINERS.
