Description
Lucy Ann Polk - "Lucky Lucy Ann" Mode Records MODE-LP 115 (Mono). Arrangements Marty Paich and an All Star band which includes Dick Noel, Bob Hardaway, Tony Rizzi, Buddy Clark and Mel Lewis. The lp visually looks great and plays very clean with several exceptions. There are 2 tiny indentations which appear to be a pressing issue rather than a normal scratch. They both appear on the song “I’m Just A Lucky So & So”. They can be heard as tics on the last 40 seconds of the song. The second side plays great with one exception. There is occasional light background noise and a few tics on “Memphis In June”, and there are 3 clicks at the very opening of “Time After Time” before she begins to sing. Other than the above issues on these 2 songs, it’s a very clean sounding lp. We can grade side on as VG+ and side 2 as VG++, but the above description gives more of an accurate explanation than the grade. The jacket is solid and in great shape.The art on the front looks teriffic. Very clean with bright colors. There is however, some very minor ring wear that is beginning to show at the very top. This may be too faint to even show in the scan. The bottom right corner has about 1/4 inch split. VERY tiny. The rear of the jacket looks generally fine except for some very light water marks at the very bottom and the top (please see scan). These marks are more surface, and do not appear at all on the front side. This lp will ship on the Friday following the auction.
