Description
Feel free to make an offer on any of my items!
I have been buying and selling records for the past few years. While I have become more knowledgeable, my grading is still subjective to your own eye and system. All grading is visual only. I am basing my grading on my knowledge of other collectibles I have dealt with in the past and what I have learned about records (both LP and 78's).
Each LP will come with a poly outer sleeve and and inner paper sleeve. I will include the original inner sleeve if it is available, if not it will be a plain white inner sleeve.
Multiple wins - I will combine shipping. If you are bidding on several items I will send you and invoice combining the shipping costs so that you are paying the actual shipping costs.
Packing -
Lp's will be packed inside an oversized box with fill. I do not use the "pizza box" method, as I want you to recieve the record in the same shape it left me.
78's, I pack them between stiff cardboard (no more than 10 per bundle), and then inside fill in an oversized box (14x14x6). They are fragile and I want them to travel as safely as possible.
Shipping: Shipping will be Media Rate via USPS unless you choose the Priority Mail option. Delivery Confirmation is included on all items. Insurance will be included on all items over $100. International will be handled with the help of eBay Global Shipping.
Handling: I do charge a $2 per shipment handling charge. This is to cover the cost of the fill and box and the extra cardboard squares that I use to SAFELY ship the records.
RCA Victor Lucky Strike Transcription Record
Edwin C Hill & The Famous Auctioneer
Chant of the Tobacco Auctioneer
RCA Victor CS 010672
Sleeve - None
Record - VG+ (minor scuffs and light scratch(es))
Single sided.
Plays fine and as expected for a vinyl transcription program. Some light pops etc, no skips. I did listen all the way through and the end is where I located the Lucky Strike reference. Also it was part of their ad campaign.
Mostly Hill talking about the tobacco auction and how it works, with the auctioneer chant going on here and there in the "interview".
Hill was the CBS, NBC and ABC Radio Network news commentator that brought us, "The Human Side of the News" (1932-1952). Narrator of the ZIV company syndicated transcribed radio program, Freedom USA (1952).
