Description
Here we have a startlingly rare Latin American pressing of an American Zon-O-Phone recording, dating from September the 8th 1904.
The selection is “Ah, non giunge - Cabaletto” by Bellini from “La Sonnambula” on a NINE INCH single-sided disc Zonofono 10004.
On it, Luisa Tetrazzini (mis-named on the label as “Louisa”) is accompanied by Cleofonte Campanini, piano.
Cleofonte was her brother-in-law, married to her elder sister Eva.
I have been collecting records since the Duke of Edinburgh was in the sea scouts, and this is only the second Tetrazzini Zonofono I have ever seen.
It is quite a rarity.
The condition is VG++ or better.
The sound is clear and bright and the grooves are not worn.
I have put it in a home-made 9” card sleeve.

I apologise for the hefty mailing costs. I pack VERY carefully, in a firm cardboard sandwich with polystyrene peanuts etc.
It's very secure but quite expensive.
If you buy more than one record off me, I will GREATLY REDUCE THE POSTAGE ACCORDINGLY, so the more you buy.. the cheaper they become!
The record in the photograph is the record you will get.
I have described the item to the best of my ability, and everything looks in collectable condition to me, but please check the photographs to decide for yourself.
