Luna Sea super-rare private pressing 1976 LP- Blair, Nebraska Southern Rock/Prog

Another super-rare private pressing, several people have expressed an interest in this so the only fair way to sell it is on eBay!

The album is called "Luna Sea" and was recorded at R & R Studios in Ames, Iowa in 1976. No more than several hundred were made, and this one was autographed by the drummer, Collin Thompson.

This is truly an excellent album with an interesting history. Instead of Side 1 or 2, it has "Light Side" and "Dark Side". "Light Side" is Southern Rock sounding like the Eagles or similar, while "Dark Side" has a more progressive, jazzy feel. The song, "Rousing The Ghost"(long instrumental), sounds like it came from Jeff Beck's Blow By Blow! The album was mostly sold at their concerts in the 1970's, and you will practically never see a copy for sale these days. The cover's painting was used by Queen on their 1991 album, "Innuendo". I was told by a band member that they toured with the band Firefall in 1976 who came out with their own album called "Luna Sea". This so incensed band members that they filed suit over Firefall using their name and had to sell equipment to pay legal fees; well, we know who had more money! I rate this album better than any Firefall album, and it is a shame a CD has not been issued. A very talented original band with all members singing lead vocals.

The vinyl itself is nearly mint(because I recorded on reel-to-reel and played that), but not the cover. Small smudge on center of "Dark Side" which does not affect album. Plays beautifully. Has water stain and splitting(thanks to my poor storage), plus autograph on cover. Luna Sea was from Blair, Nebraska and has the number, LSR 976, on the back cover, and shows "Luna Tunes" as the label. You will play this over and over as I have. Good luck finding this if you don't get it here!

Returns:

I will accept returns for up to 14 days after the item has been shipped as long as you pay return shipping. Shipping charges are never refunded unless the item turns out to be DOA(dead on arrival), or a mistake was made on my part. The refund will be given via PayPal, or if you specify, a check. Shipping:

I try to use US Post Office Priority Mail whenever possible. This is the best shipping service there is, and I don't say this because I'm friends with everybody in the local post offices! I have had less problems or loss with this method than all others. Think twice before using economy postage or any other method that does not use tracking numbers or have insurance available. UPS is the preferred shipping method when shipping bigger items, and I almost always use UPS Ground. I have found that the more expensive methods of shipping through UPS are not neccessarily the fastest; most of the time Ground gets there about as fast as 3-Day Select. More expensive items that I sell usually come with insurance included in the shipping charge, and on less expensive items it is always offered as an option. I almost always print labels and pay for shipping through PayPal, so there is less chance of a mistake on the address. Also, PayPal will email you the tracking number or the delivery confirmation number automatically. If you lose this number, I keep it in my records and can email it to you personally if needed. Overseas or out of USA shipping done if items and shipping is through PayPal only.
