Every once in a while, a treasure of the metal underground resurfaces, and "Caught in the Trap" by Lynx is exactly that. Originally released in 1985, this Swedish band's sole album captures the essence of the 80s metal spirit: soaring vocals, sharp-edged riffs, pounding rhythms, and that unmistakable touch of synthesizer that gives it a unique charm. Inspired by legends like Deep Purple and rooted in the melodic energy of the NWOBHM, Lynx carved out their place in the Scandinavian heavy metal scene. Despite its undeniable quality, "Caught in the Trap" remained a hidden gem for decades.
