Description

Let's just say, for the sake of argument, you're the biggest LS fan going... then you need to take a close looky here. This copy is a total marvel. I can guarantee you will never find one this well preserved without a heck of a search...>>
An original 1st press of SS on MCA for the UK market. Matrix A2/B2. Stampers 1H/2OR [excellent provenance]. Anyone familiar with the band and this title will know it was released shortly before, and in conjunction, with a US tour. This tour was cancelled a few dates in as the band's aircraft crashed on its way into 'Baton Rouge'. The record company rushed to re-issue the cover artwork [understandably]. This is the original pre-crash 1st issue version. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original G&L cover with the original tour date run inner. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. UN-BE-LEIVABLE.
Vinyl (Ex+) In excellent/superb condition and has only seen lightest use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. Beautiful lustre - look at those label shots! A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback without reservation. This is one of those rare finds where a  vintage record looks like you've just walked it straight outta the shop from the 70's. If you care about this band/title...why compromise. Get yourself a cracker.... excellent clarity and near perfect balance and poise. Hear all those amazing guitar licks in perfect clarity. If the audio on this title means a lot to you...you need to hear it on a near-master copy. It is worth every darn penny.  A couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. FINAL UPGRADE par excellence...
Cover (Ex/Ex+) A truly difficult find in top top condition - as we have here. Unbelievable condition with precious little wear or discolouration on any of the surfaces. Hardly any edge wear. The interior is just perfect - and nearly always exhibits foxing...a perfect interior! Sharp openings and lovely firm opening panel. Slightest trace marks on rear - the rear NEVER looks this well preserved. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Spine is PERFECT 100%...highly highly unusual.  FINAL UPGRADE.
Inner (Ex/Ex-) No splits. Lovely preservation. slight wear at foot.
