Description
Outstanding condition copy of this very rare 1979 release on Lyrita Records (SRCS 109) Malcolm Arnold conducts the London Philharmonic Orchestra in performances of his "Eight English Dances" (1950/51); "Four Scottish Dances" Op. 59 and "Four Cornish Dances" Op. 91.
Condition is superb. The sleeve is clean and crisp with no tears or seam splits and very little shelf wear. There is a tiny sticker at the top right corner of the rear sleeve and I think that this would tear if it were removed. However, it is extremely small and unobtrusive. The spine is perfect with no creases or splits.
The vinyl is in near mint condition with no scratches, scuffs or abrasions. Playback is unaffected by any ticks, clicks or crackles; surface noise is extremely low and there is no distortion and no jumps or skips.
Matrix numbers in the run-out grooves are ZLY 5218-1A and ZLY 5217-2X. There is no mention of Nimbus in the run-out grooves so I believe that this is an original Decca pressing.
