We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

Prominant member of 60's legends, The Buffalo Springfield, Dewey Martin tried to keep the group going, gathering new members calling themselves "NEW BUFFALO" but abruptly disbanded. Soon after he formed a new group "Medicine Ball" -- released their only album, coming 2 years after the last Buffalo Springfield Lp. The 'Dewey Martin & Medicne Ball' album has gotten quite hard to find.
For some strange reason, after Dewey Martin's band New Buffalo (Springfield) got a contract with Atco, he decided to leave the band (which subsequently became "Blue Mountain Eagle") for a solo deal with UNI. That's a shame, because Dewey Martin's amazing voice would have been perfectly suited for an egalitarian band who could provide him with original material.
In a sense, Buffalo Springfield was too talented for its own good, such that Martin could only manage to be heard from sporadically. The Medicine Ball is more or less a Dewey Martin solo album with competent bandmates that are anonymous besides former Buffalo Springfield bass player Bruce Palmer ... no one here comes close to having the songwriting dexterity of a Young, a Stills, or a Furay. That said the album is still good, having a West Coast laid back feel, bit of rural Springfield styled moves, and with highlight brilliance in its lead track, the Martin-penned "Indian Child." The playing is ferocious, and the intensity of Martin's vocal is terrific! "Maybe Baby", is another track that is particularly fine. Both sides of the album is quite listenable, and remains a very interesting acquisition for Buffalo Springfield fans if it can be found.

Dewey Martin, drummer for the short-lived but long-resonating rock band Buffalo Springfield whose career after the group split never ignited like those of his former band mates Neil Young and Stephen Stills, has died from apparent natural causes.
