Description

Here is a RARE 2 lp album WITH TWO RARE INSERTS from my collection offered up for sale: John Lennon and Yoko Ono's "SOME TIME IN NEW YORK CITY" in very well cared for condition, vinyl looks unplayed! Released in 1972 on Apple records SVBB 3392 Stereo.  This is the first press gatefold cover and includes the TWO INSERTS, the petition and the postcard! This petition was designed to help John and Yoko who were facing deportation at the time this album came out. The album features John and Yoko with a little help from their friends from Elephant's Memory band PLUS Frank Zappa's Mothers Of Invention band and and all star band! This album was also produced by John and Yoko with Phil Spector! Two sides are from LIVE appearances! The London live show features John with the Who's Keith Moon, Nicky Hopkins,  Led Zeppelin's  John Bonham, Cream's Eric Clapton, the fifth beatle Billy Preston, George Harrison and MORE. (the names were fudged for contractual purposes IE: Derek Clapton! The credits are written in John's handwriting in red marker over Zappa's own Fillmore inner sleeve! (see inner sleeve for altered names in credits!)This all star jam band performs an absolutely scorching rendition of John's new song "Cold Turkey". The best live version ever!! The records grade NEAR MINT, are beautiful and glossy, look unplayed, no wear! Both discs have been PLAY TESTED and play excellent from start to finish! The custom labels are in NM condition, clean, no signatures, no wear! The gatefold cover rates NEAR MINT, is clean, no splits, no tape, no signatures, no bends, edges and corners solid, the binder edge is readable, inside gatefold is clean, the only flaw is a tiny corner bump at bottom opening, light age discoloration at edge. The INSERTS are in NM condition, no rips, no stains, no writing, no wear! Includes TWO CUSTOM INNER SLEEVES in EX condition, clean, minimal wear, center splits have been neatly repaired with non-yellowing tape. (see photos) Own it now with my fair BUY IT NOW price!
