Description

Here is a MEGA RARE & SUPERB vintage Beatles Lp album from my collection offered up for auction:  The Beatles 1968 1st press APPLE album "Magical Mystery Tour" with a MEGA RARE PINK INNER RECORD JACKET! I have only seen a few of these in all my years of collecting, This 1968 1st press Apple has a PINK inner record sleeve!  My understanding of this rare factory oddity is that when the cardboard stock for the jacket is near the end of the roll, the stock is colored PINK to alert Capitol factory workers & allow them time to change the roll!! A true rarity to behold! Even better than a factory error or misprint!

So here it is... the PINK oddity: THE BEATLES "Magical Mystery Tour", on their very own Apple label, FIRST APPLE PRESSING from 1968 with Capitol logo in the perimeter print. This is in very well cared for condition inside and out! Released on Apple records SMAL-2835 stereo.  Also has the COLOR photo and cartoon BOOKLET! The record grades strong EX, is super clean and glossy, only a couple small faint sleeve marks to an otherwise pristine disc, looks minimally played, and has been very well care for! PLAY TESTED and plays from start to finish with excellent sound quality! The gatefold jacket rates easy EX, is super clean, color is bright, edges and corners EX, binder edge EX, no tape, only flaw is price tag residue in top right corner on front cover (see photo) ,  no ring wear, has had minimal handling wear overall! The 24 page color booklet (still attached to cover)is EX, is clean,  and solid, the inside gatefold is clean, no center splits. Includes original vintage white inner sleeve!
