Description

Here is a beautiful rare vintage classic jazz album offered up for auction: A superb 1959 original Mono pressing of Miles Davis "Kind of Blue" in very well cared for condition, vinyl looks rarely played! Features Miles with musicians John Coltrane, Wyn Kelly, Paul Chambers, Cannonball Adderley, James Cobb and Bill Evans! Released 1959 on Columbia records CL-1355.  This heavy weight record grades NEAR MINT, is beautiful, super clean and glossy, looks rarely played, under a 100 watt bulb there is not a mark on it!  Record has been PLAY TESTED, plays OUTSTANDING from start to finish with excellent clear and quiet sound quality, super minimal surface noise, a VERY enjoyable listening Lp, you can hear even the detail in the cymbal work!! The 6 eye MONO labels are in EX condition but have faint small name stamp on side 1, are clean, no signatures, no visible spindle wear! The matrix stamped on side one reads XLP 4747324 - 1J and 1/H and side two reads XLP 4747325 - 1J  and 1/H. The early 1st press cover rates easy VG+ to EX-, has great deep color, is clean, no stains, no signatures or writing, has small name stamp on rear cover, small neat repair at center of binder (unnoticeable), binder printed edge is readable (see photos). Top seam shows some wear from storage, top left corner has bump, top right corner has  sticker shadow. This 1st pressing has a couple of noted miss prints, the cover has Cannonball Adderley's name spelled wrong (as Adderly). Also the cover shows the the song order as "Flamenco Sketches" and then "All Blues" but the label has these two songs in the opposite order! Includes the vintage Columbia baggie inner sleeve!
