We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

Nice clean 1969 original in thick gatefold cover of the very first ILLINOIS SPEED PRESS album on the highly collected 360 Sound Columbia label of the sixties...This first (of two) Illinois Speed Press album was a play list favorite on underground radio stations in the early 70's... "Pay The Price" & "PSN When You Come Around" were popular with the classic hard (fuzz) rocker sound and FM stations loved to play them...

Hot shot manager/producer James Guercio discovered the Rovin' Kind at the Chicago Whiskey-A-Go-Go, where they were the house band. He offered them management and production and brought them back to Los Angeles where they were signed to CBS/Columbia Records under their new name, Illinois Speed Press. The change happened in February 1968. They opened for other major recording acts such as Led Zepplin, Chicago & Steppenwolf. Initial members of Illinois Speed Press were the same as the Rovin’ Kind...to best appreciate the Illinois Speed Press play this recording at the highest possible volume. All the sounds on this recording were made by; one 1962 (red) gibson les paul custom double pickup guitar, one 1960 (white) gibson les paul custom triple pickup guitar, one 1961, (white) fender precision bass, all fed through brown fender concert amplifiers, (4-10” speakers) and one standard ludwig drum “dance” kit, 2 crash cymbols, one ride cynbol augmented with 3 timbals...
The songs on their albums ranged from hard rock to more acessible underground radio rock with rural influences and from blues towards folk-rock, but on the electrified hard side...very often with psychedelic references and some really excellent dual fuzz guitars.

CONDITION: The cover: gatefold cover is clean, near "EX" (excellent) with no split seams, no bends and no writing ...this cover is a nice collectible = the light grey color is prone to show wear. WELL preserved copy!
The vinyl: is very clean and clear M- and plays beautiful....just had it jamming and the clarity has striking clear sound... while both 360 sound Columbia labels are clean there is a very light record store stamp on one side (see photo) only very very light ~
