WITH MUCH APPRECIATION TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS: If you have a question on orders received, please contact us. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.
We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.
TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS: We are happy to hold orders to save on shipping. Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and, if you request, we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.
As always, thank you for your support!
VERY RARE 1969 TOWER RECORDS FIRST PRESSING
PINK FLOYD
M O R E
USA - striped TOWER - ST 5169
VERY RARE....ORIGINAL 1969 first pressing on the old TOWER label...many collectors don't know the first pressing of this album was released in low production with TOWER Records, home label in the USA to the first two Pink Floyd albums....
This is the first soundtrack album recorded by PINK FLOYD, it was recorded in 1969 just one week after their other experimental album, "Ummagumma," was being made. And like Ummagumma 'MORE" is a tougher listen for bandwagon jumping 70's Floydian fans since it is more based on serene spaced-out atmospherics with variety as well as various musical styles. What we have here are flowing psych-prog songs like "Cirrus Minor", "Green in the Colour" and "Cymbaline" - all classics - which are very opposite to tracks like "Ibiza Bar" and "Nile Song", the two heavy psych nuggets found here and jolting the listeners mind as they creep up. There's also the shorts "Spanish Piece" and "Party Sequence", a light joke by Dave that works much better than "Seamus" and a percussion based track with somewhat of a jungle theme respectively. We also have blues on the obviously named "More Blues", which it's quite a nice short piece with a nice guitar flow by Dave and some complex interplays & structures on "Up the Khyber" that shows Rick and Nick in the spotlight and it is based on the second part of the "Saucerful of Secrets" mini-epic. "Crying Song" is very dreamy ballad and would be an excellent follower for "Cirrus Minor", if it were not before the appearance of the explosive "Nile Song". The other three tracks, "Main Theme", "Quicksilver" and "Dramatic Theme" are all very grossly underrated. The first one is an amazing trip through Rick's synths and one of the better tracks from the album. The second, Quicksilver, is a nice trip as well if you listen to it with an open mind. And the third is the album's closer, Dramatic Theme, is a fittiong finale.
This album has its great moments and sadly is often overlooked and under appreciated (like Atom Heart Mother).
