We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Yardbirds rarities albums are everywhere, and most of them just rearranging the 'hits'. This, on the other hand, might well be the best one ever - truly filled with rarities!!
Original ITALY-only DELUXE 2-x-LP set is hard to find and from well over 35 years ago ....
Among the myriad Yardbirds compilations/collections/concoctions knocking around the racks, few truly live up to the band's awesome reputation. Beginning with the severely underrated Top Topham, the band was home to a wealth of history's greatest guitarists; beginning with "For Your Love," they created a string of the '60s' most inventive 45s; and beginning the moment the first Yardbirds comp came out, they possessed one of the most brain-boggling discographies in rock. But were they any good? Forget reputations and forget greatest-hits anthologies. A clutch of patchy albums leaves the most forgiving collector with serious doubts as to the band's long-term potential, and while the much-lauded BBC sessions album went some way toward vindicating the veneration, there were still too many cover takes to truly convince. But then the Broken Wings DOUBLE LP flutters in, and for those who have ever nursed a single doubt about the Yardbirds, this is the album which will change their mind.
Generally excellent sound quality is a major plus, so despite the mixed appearance of the content, this LP features sheer range & depth of plundered sources. Rounding up such infuriating strays as the one BBC session omitted from the official set (Page's "Dazed and Confused" -- one wonders why it went unreleased.) BROKEN WINGS offers different mono mixes from the stereo format of the Roger the Engineer, as well as some great solo Beck and Relf cuts, and the best-sounding live Yardbirds material one is ever likely to meet, Broken Wings is a splendid listening experience from start to finish. Indeed, after the savage disappointments meted out by an official release in Stockholm in 1967, and multiple boot copies of the lesser thrilling Anderson Theater album, both live sets included here are superior in content and performance. Yardbirds 'overview' records are everywhere, and most of them are sub-par. Broken Wings, on the other hand, might well be the best one ever.
