Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.

  1. The bold mono release is suitable for this garage punk pounder...An early leading band on the California Hollywood Sunset Strip scene...the mighty DIRTY WATER album by the STANDELLS contains a high number of garage gems - Medication, Little Sally Tease, Dirty Water and Sometimes Good Guys. Excellent drums and outstanding Bill Wyman influenced bass. People can be condescending about 'garage' bands, but any contemporary band could learn something about laying down an effective bass-line from this album. Dirty Water" was the Standells Tower Records debut. The title song is a Punk classic reproduced on numerous "Nuggets"-type comps, and along with the five and-a-half minute "Rari" was recorded in Hollywood. Most of the remaining tracks - originals, covers, and songs were recorded in April 1966 and were over-modulated directly to the multi-track tape, causing the finished master to become a powerful...gritty and distorted wash of sound... charactistic of the Northwest punk/garage bands recording such as the Sonics.
