Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP $4.00 Media; 2-4 discs $5.00; .50 each additional disc Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   CANADA ~ 1 LP 8.50; 2 discs $10.00; 3 discs $11.50; over 4 please contact us for shipping costs.   AUSTRALIA, THAILAND, JAPAN ~ 1 LP $18.00; 2 discs $23.00; 3 discs $27.00; 4 discs $32.00.                             UK - (yellow/orange) CBS - 69011

CLEAN... 1971 BRITISH ONLY release in nice gatefold cover...no U.S. issue and is a great(!) collectible that gathers all the top UK 45's for a unique tracking experience as well as a rewarding listen over both sides...A bit confusing, this is the better of two similarly titled U.K. releases, by far having the better track listing (see  below)

  • Peter Green – vocals, guitar, harmonica
  • Jeremy Spencer – vocals, slide guitar
  • Danny Kirwan – vocals, guitar
  • John McVie – bass guitar
  • Mick Fleetwood – drums
  • Here, the original Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac gives you a lesson of British Blues and guitar under the wing of the Blue Horizon label producer Mike Vernon.
First, the Chicago Blues tracks such as "Shake Your Money Maker", "Rattle Snake Shake" and "Stop Messing 'Round" are perfect examples of this revival British Blues genre with gorgeous guitar playing by Pete and also the required raunchy singing.
Second, you can hear the emotional songs like the ethereal guitar playing in "Albatross" backed by surprising kettledrums instead of bass guitar; The poignant "Man of the World" with a bunch of guitars in arpeggios and sad singing; or the amazing original version of "Black Magic Woman" later covered by Santana. "Oh Well Part 1 & 2", first single released by Reprise is a strange mixture of blues, psychedelic music and classical in the end. The guitars parts are outstanding again.
At last, the opening track "The Green Manalishi" is really devilish with its obsessional bass line. Peter Green imagined this track from a nightmare, and it really feels so.
"Dragonfly", first single released after the departure of Peter Green is a nice track with a strange lead guitar sound. The voices are closer to the Beatles than the previous Fleetwood Mac releases.
