Hard To Find and *CLEAN* British psychedelic rock classic on the ages old pink rimmed Island issue(nearly 40 years old) ...the very first TRAFFIC in gatefold cover, superior to USA release with different cover design (and gatefold)...
In 1967, when still-teenaged keyboardist Steve Winwood left the Spencer Davis Group (for whom he'd sung lead on hits like "Gimme Some Lovin'" and "I'm a Man") to start a new band with guitarist Dave Mason, few observers thought their idea of blending pop, rock, and jazz would work. Immediately, though, Traffic scored giant hits with Winwood's east-meets-west "Paper Sun" and Mason's acid-jazzy "Hole in My Shoe". MR. FANTASY included experimentation with druggy-inspired numbers ("Berkshire Poppies"), flamenco-flavoured fantasy ("Dealer"), and sitar-drenched meditations ("Utterly Simple"). Winwood's inspired organ playing and soulful singing emerge on cuts like the classic "Coloured Rain". Between those songs, the psychedelic (smoking-guitar driven) Mr Fantasy, the swinging instrumental "Giving to You" and the haunting ballad, "No Face, No Name, No Number", Traffic's debut established both players as elite members of the new guard of late 60s British rock.
Along with 'Sgt Pepper', 'Satanic Majesties Request' and'Ogdens Nutgone Flake' this is one of the seminal albums of psychedelic sixties England.

CONDITION: The gatefold cover is M- clean and stiff on all parts, has a manufacturing error in the inside of the gatefold is slightly larger than the front gatefold cover, but that shouldn't bother anyone.
