Roland Brown is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and independent record producer who began his recording career in Wellington, New Zealand.

His first release was 1974's 'Wayne Roland Brown' on the Strange Records label. This was followed in '75 by 'Fast Mover'. These two albums were later repackaged as the double album 'Chairs, Shoes And Songs Of Comfort'.

In 1976 he relocated to Australia, over the subsequent years travelling widely in pursuit of his interest in non-western music and assembling a collection over 130 musical instruments from 32 countries around the world. In 1978 he released 'Stealer Of Hearts'.

The eighties saw five further album releases and the song 'Essential Sensual' used on the soundtrack of the Tom Cruise movie, Cocktail. Although not included on the official soundtrack album the song was later released on 1994's 'Flight of Fancy'.

Through the mid '90s he released a further three albums; 'Capricorn' ('96), 'Late Not Lost' (97) and finally ''One Song All Seasons' (also '97).

TRACK COMMENT: The two versions of "All Along the Watchtower" are given the WRB treatment...The first is an organ driven version, the second a more stretched out piano backed, lights low version complete with dramatic ending and both featuring some whooshing winds. WRB aims to own "Watchtower" and I'd rank his version(s) in the top 5.

RECORD: Very obviously been played with very noticeable surface marks & exhibits major loss of sound quality.
COVER: Noticeable folding, scuffing of spine or edges, splits in seams or spine or fading of colour.
FAIR:
RECORD: Still just playable & exhibits considerable surface noise.
COVER: Major tears, wearing, splits & stains.
POOR:
RECORD: Will not play properly due to scratches etc.
COVER: Very badly damaged.
